This route is easy to follow and has many rest points along the route. We can see many equipment and elements of the architectural heritage, municipal services and shops. The landscape is urban but we can have contact with nature in Carrer de la Riera and in the Municipal Park.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ROUTE
The route goes through a large part of the Old Core of Olesa. It starts in front of the Town Hall, where there are benches and shade and it is a good place to meet other people to go for a walk.
After passing in front of the library and the House of Culture, the loop heads towards Plaça de les Fonts via Salvador Casas i Baltasar street.
In Plaça de les Fonts we find a rest area with trees, benches and water. Crossing the porches we go up Carrer de l'Església, which has a slight slope, where we can observe the portal of Carrer de l'Arc de l'Església.
Then, we arrive at the Plaça Nova, right in front of the Clock Tower, and go around the church of Santa Maria through the Plaça de la Centra. We continue along Carrer de l'Hospital and go down Carrer Ample. In the Reverend Massa square we find more rest points. We continue along the side of the Escolàpies Olesa school and arrive at Carrer de la Riera, which momentarily exits the Nucli Antic to re-enter it, then through Carrer Gras, which takes us to Carrer de Santa Oliva.
Along this street we find the square that bears the same name and, at the end, the Portal de Santa Oliva, a natural viewpoint and connection point to other urban and rural routes.
We continue along Carrer de Baix, from where we can go down some stairs to the Roure fountain, open all day. Carrer de Baix ends at Carrer Coscoll, right in front of a set of listed homes. From here we will go in the direction of Carrer de la Vall d'Aran and we will reach the Municipal Park. We will skirt the park passing by the CAP and arrive at the departure point, in front of the Town Hall.

OLESA TOURISM
Olesa de Montserrat is a municipality rich in culture and tradition, located in the foothills of the mountain of Montserrat. Olesa de Montserrat is located in the north of the comarca (county) of Baix Llobregat, in the subcomarca of Montserratí, halfway between Barcelona and the Montserrat Monastery. The natural area of the municipality, with its beautiful and magnificent scenery, is bounded by the Llobregat river and the mountain chains of Sant Salvador de les Espases and Puigventós. Olesa’s roots are markedly agricultural; it is noted in particular for its cultivation of olives of the palomar or Olesan variety, native to the region, from which the famous Olesan oil is extracted.
